Kerry-Leigh Tomaselli

Physiotherapist

Kerry-Leigh qualified with a B.Sc (Physiotherapy) degree from the University of Witwatersrand in 2007. In 2008 she completed her community service at various community health centres in Diepsloot; Rabie Ridge and Hillbrow. In 2009 she completed her post-graduate in Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapy, thereafter she was an assistant lecturer tasked with supervising and evaluating up and coming physiotherapists.

 

In 2009 she worked at a sports based practise before opening Kerry-Leigh de Boer Physiotherapy at the Hobart Centre, in September 2011. In 2023, Kerry-Leigh moved the practice to 277 Bryanston Drive.

 

Kerry-Leigh has worked at numerous sports events such as The 94.7 Cycle Challenge; The Comrades Marathon and assisted with the UJ sports teams. She worked as the physio for the ProEvents touch rugby league for two seasons and was the physio for a number of teams the Cape Epic Mountain Bike Challenge.

 

She participated in hockey, tennis and athletics as a scholar. She continued to play hockey for The University of Witwatersrand and premiere and woman’s first league hockey for another 7 years. She then developed a passion for mountain biking and has participated in many events including Sani2C; Wines2Whales; Berg n Bush, Swazi Frontier and the Liberty Cape Winelands Encounter, to name a few. Kerry-Leigh has a great interest in all sports, whether participating, spectating or gathering an interest in the biomechanics and skills required for various sports. She has taken to Padel and running.
